Waltham House – The Home for Little Wanderers

Waltham House is the first residential group home designed specifically for LGBTQ youth in New England, and one of only three of its kind in the nation. Its founding principles are that every child deserves to live in an environment in which they feel safe, respected, supported and cared for by those around them.

Primary goals of Waltham House:

• To offer LGBTQ youth a safe and supportive environment in which to live and grow
• To offer families the support they need in order to become reunified with a LGBTQ youth
• To offer LGBTQ youth an opportunity to develop essential life skills that will prepare them for the eventuality of independent living
• To offer LGBTQ youth opportunities to develop strong connections to LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ communities
• To help LGBTQ youth reach their potential
