About Us
Raising a total of 11 children, we made our homes “The place to be” for our kids and their friends, we’ve managed to experience a diversity few parents have.
Our lives have been enriched by kids with ALS, members of the LGBTQ community, kids on the Autism spectrum and so many more.
Our Experiences
One thing we’ve learned? There is no such thing as ‘the perfect child’. Having dealt with issues across the board the one thing we keep realizing is this. Kids that grow up without 2 parents, without a true support system are bound to face more challenges than they deserve.
Our goal here at “Be The Village” is to give directly to organizations that help kids in these situations and more.
More About Us
Our homes were the hang houses for many weekends and summers. We have seen such a diversity not only in our own children but so many more that have come into our lives.
The many issues that we deal with in our children we see are much harder when the family dynamic is not supported
Or are not capable.
We want to be able to give directly to organizations that have established good programs that are not recognized for these teens.
